Cooling system
Overheating is one of the most common warm-weather breakdowns. Check coolant level when the engine is cold and watch the temperature gauge on long drives.
Tires in the heat
Air expands as it warms, so pressure readings climb during the day. Set pressure in the morning when tires are cool and inspect sidewalls for cracking.
Cabin comfort
A fresh cabin air filter improves airflow and air quality. Parking in shade and using a sunshade reduces interior heat and protects surfaces.
Quick checklist
- Check coolant when the engine is cold
- Set tire pressure in the morning
- Replace the cabin air filter
- Inspect tire sidewalls for cracks
- Use a sunshade when parking
